Hello! I am very happy to report The Sultemeier Girls all made it home with no injuries.8) We all gave it our best and did very well.I brought home second in Kata(no surprise I should have practiced more). There were only three women in my division so I had to fight twice the one with the most over all points one.The first chick I fought was the really tall one I fought last time.I was a little intimidated at first,I decided to surprise her and charge her,it worked I won two out of three (One was on top of her head). There was no stopping me after that point. The second fight was the same ,we go to three points I got two in both matches.I felt pretty good with that first place trophy.I am gonna practice more,I am sure that tall chick will come back next time with a vengeance.LOL I will be ready to beat her again!8) Now I have to get ready for rank test Monday night.I am feeling pretty good about it now.Maybe I am better than I thought.LOL Pray for me anyways please I need all the help I can get.I am the one on the left(My mouth piece is still in) Hey,stop laughing 8)In the middle is one of my instructors Skelly and on the right is my friend Thomson, as you can see we all took first place in our sparring matches. It was a great tournament. Have a safe and Happy Halloween!
Well it's time for our Karate tournament and I am struggling with my Kata again.I guess I should say I no gotta my Kata.(Sorry I couldn't resist),Now That is not all my tournament is Saturday then on Monday I have a rank test.I am going for the Green .LOL I have been working hard to learn my techniques, but truth be told I am not so good at them (Don't tell my opponent) LOL. It's my own fault I should of practiced more this last three months.I can make 100 + excuses why I didn't mostly work related (to much work haha.) Now I am going to suck it up and Pray because that's the only thing that will help me now.And I am making a solemn promise to myself to focus more on it.And if worse case scenario Lord ,Please don't let them see me cry. I will update ya soon, would love some words of inspiration if ya can leave some.Have a great Hump day my friends, thanks for stopping by!!

POOR PEOPLE ?
One day, the father of a very wealthy family took his son on a trip to the country with the express purpose of showing him how poor people live. They spent a couple of days and nights on the farm of what would be considered a very poor family.
On their return from their trip, the father asked his son, 'How was the trip?'
'It was great, Dad.'
'Did you see how poor people live?' the father asked.
'Oh yeah,' said the son.
'So, tell me, what did you learn from the trip?' asked the father.
The son answered:
'I saw that we have one dog and they had four.
We have a pool that reaches to the middle of our garden and they have a creek that has no end. We have imported lanterns in our garden and they have the stars at night. Our patio reaches to the front yard and they have the whole horizon. We have a small piece of land to live on and they have fields that go beyond our sight. We have servants who serve us, but they serve others. We buy our food, but they grow theirs. We have walls around our property to protect us, they have friends to protect them.'
The boy's father was speechless.
Then his son added, 'Thanks Dad for showing me how poor we are.'
Isn't perspective a wonderful thing? Makes you wonder what would happen if we all gave thanks for everything we have, instead of worrying about what we don't have.
Appreciate every single thing you have, especially your friends!
Pass this on to friends and acquaintances and help them refresh their perspective and appreciation.
