What Do you think Of Valentine's Day? I have to admit, I hate this day! Okay maybe that's a bit harsh. I think it is way to commercial that's all.8) I Always have, never understood how giving someone dieing , I mean cut rose's shows them you love them. And chocolate please, Do you know what the stuff does to ya? I am fat enough already! lol And the really greatest thing I hate about Valentine's day, is that the person that supposedly wants to win your heart thinks your shallow enough to be bought with trinkets.lol (However if you are send them to my shop above! 8) Oh no! Don't let them get off that easy! Make them promise to give you a loving smile when your sad, A kind word when your spirits are low, Or maybe a hug for no reason at all. That's what your Valentine's should do for you. I am lucky that's what mine does for me every day! That's how I get away with hating on Valentine's Day,LOL! I do hope you have a Happy Valentine's day friends, full of LOVE,smiles and kindness !

As you know I love to make jewelry and many other handcrafts as well. When I first decided to bring my product on line I had so many questions. They are all about Handmade. You can learn so much as I have posted before in this "What's your most tool as a handmade artist?" The forum was created and is promoted by a very hardworking couple Kimberly and Andrew Kitchen. They are a wonderful team not sure how they do it all ,just thankful they do.I learn something new everyday when it comes to promoting and selling and much of it was acquired through the forum. So I would also like to say Thank you Kimberly and Andrew for looking out for handmade artisans everywhere.Thank you for giving a place to go get help when needed. The Handmade Artist Shops are easy to set up and manage and they have the best variety of unique handmade gifts so you can be sure you will be able to find something for everyone you are buying for.Now there are many ways to contribute to the forum as well ad I personally love the Blog Ring. Well I am asking myself as I look at the calender where did it go? I am of course talking about this year ,it flew by and here we are about to jump right into 2012 and well I am not ready! I just don't want to leave 2011 because I haven't nearly finished my to do list for the year.lol It's not that this has been a good year because truth be told it was pretty depressing to me. Instead of complaining about it I guess I will just say, I miss my nephew Travis and wish 2011 hadn't taken him.I am truly hoping 2012 is the year our economy bounces back. I have every intention of celebrating the end of 2011 and can't wait to smile my way into 2012.lol Do you make New years resolutions? I have several hoping to keep one.lol I just want to wish you a Happy New Year and Thank you for sharing your precious time with me! Stay safe if your out celebrating!! 8) HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!

POOR PEOPLE ?
One day, the father of a very wealthy family took his son on a trip to the country with the express purpose of showing him how poor people live. They spent a couple of days and nights on the farm of what would be considered a very poor family.
On their return from their trip, the father asked his son, 'How was the trip?'
'It was great, Dad.'
'Did you see how poor people live?' the father asked.
'Oh yeah,' said the son.
'So, tell me, what did you learn from the trip?' asked the father.
The son answered:
'I saw that we have one dog and they had four.
We have a pool that reaches to the middle of our garden and they have a creek that has no end. We have imported lanterns in our garden and they have the stars at night. Our patio reaches to the front yard and they have the whole horizon. We have a small piece of land to live on and they have fields that go beyond our sight. We have servants who serve us, but they serve others. We buy our food, but they grow theirs. We have walls around our property to protect us, they have friends to protect them.'
The boy's father was speechless.
Then his son added, 'Thanks Dad for showing me how poor we are.'
Isn't perspective a wonderful thing? Makes you wonder what would happen if we all gave thanks for everything we have, instead of worrying about what we don't have.
Appreciate every single thing you have, especially your friends!
Pass this on to friends and acquaintances and help them refresh their perspective and appreciation.
'Life is too short and friends are too few.'
