Getting Ready for Fall



Hello my friends,Almost Fall!I am sooo excited ,think it has something to do with the forty something days over 100 degree's.While I was waiting for cooler weather I was staying plenty busy.I have almost finished updating my store fronts.I gave my Etsy ,HAF shop and my ArtFire face lifts.lol  I just finished working on my Zibbit.So do you like the new pictures?Each one has all unique items NO duplicate listings.As you can see I have been working on some great fall items to add also.What do you think of the Skulls?I made several eye lanyards also,would really love to hear what you think.Have a fantastic week my friends!

What's your most important Tool as a Handmade Artist?

Hello Friends.I am just curious,I would really like to no.What is your most important tool as a handmade Artist? Your Imagination? Your determination?Is it maybe pure desire to create something beautiful?I am sure you could gather a room full of various artists and everyone would share many of these and still have there own unique answer.I think that is what makes Art so Great!Since I started my online ventures I have learned so much,and continue you learn something new everyday.Everyone of these tools I listed have at one point or another been my most important tool.I have a tool I would like to share with you.I am still learning how to use it properly,LOL   I am talking about the Handmade Artist Forum.A place where you can meet other Artist from all over the world,all walks of life.And they are realllly Great people.I have met a some great Friends.And You will too!It is a great tool and it works both ways,you can learn with it or teach.I hope you take the time to look around.Maybe even open your own HAF Shop.Can't wait to see ya around the forum!

Hello friends!This week I would like you to take a peek at my friend's shop. Gina of Dahlish knits has certainly been busy. As you can see already, she is an awesome  knitter!Here is just a couple of my favorites from her shop. This is what Andy Rooney thinks about women over 40: 60 Minutes Correspondent Andy Rooney (CBS) As I grow in age, I value women over 40 most of all. Here are just a few reasons why: A woman over 40 will never wake you in the middle of the night and ask, 'What are you thinking?' She doesn't care what you think. If a woman over 40 doesn't want to watch the game, she doesn't sit around whining about it. She does something she wants to do, and it's usually more interesting. Women over 40 are dignified. They seldom have a screaming match with you at the opera or in the middle of an expensive restaurant. Of course, if you deserve it, they won't hesitate to shoot you if they think they can get away with it. Older women are generous with praise, often undeserved. They know what it's like to be unappreciated. Women get psychic as they age. You never have to confess your sins to a woman over 40. Once you get past a wrinkle or two, a woman over 40 is far sexier than her younger counterpart. Older women are forthright and honest. They'll tell you right off if you are a jerk, if you are acting like one. You don't ever have to wonder where you stand with her. Yes, we praise women over 40 for a multitude of reasons. Unfortunately, it's not reciprocal. For every stunning, smart, well-coiffed, hot woman over 40, there is a bald, paunchy relic in yellow pants making a fool of himself with some 22-year old waitress. Ladies, I apologize. For all those men who say, 'Why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free? here's an update for you. Nowadays 80% of women are against marriage. Why? Because women realize it's not worth buying an entire pig just to get a little sausage! Andy Rooney is a really smart guy!

POOR PEOPLE ?

One day, the father of a very wealthy family took his son on a trip to the country with the express purpose of showing him how poor people live. They spent a couple of days and nights on the farm of what would be considered a very poor family.

On their return from their trip, the father asked his son, 'How was the trip?'

'It was great, Dad.'

'Did you see how poor people live?' the father asked.

'Oh yeah,' said the son.

'So, tell me, what did you learn from the trip?' asked the father.

The son answered:

'I saw that we have one dog and they had four.
We have a pool that reaches to the middle of our garden and they have a creek that has no end. We have imported lanterns in our garden and they have the stars at night. Our patio reaches to the front yard and they have the whole horizon. We have a small piece of land to live on and they have fields that go beyond our sight. We have servants who serve us, but they serve others. We buy our food, but they grow theirs. We have walls around our property to protect us, they have friends to protect them.'

The boy's father was speechless.

Then his son added, 'Thanks Dad for showing me how poor we are.'

Isn't perspective a wonderful thing? Makes you wonder what would happen if we all gave thanks for everything we have, instead of worrying about what we don't have.

Appreciate every single thing you have, especially your friends!
