HAPPY THANKSGIVING!

Hello my friends.I missed my usual Tuesday post yesterday because My motherboard went out again.I am thankful for my warranty and the fast Dell tech they sent out to fix it.That next day service is awesome. So my computer is new once again.Yes next month I will buy the extended warranty on it for sure. There has been a lot going on this week.I thought I had broke my thumb I woke up one morning and it burned.I  had no idea how it happened but by the next day it was swollen like a tomato and very painful. So I started thinking maybe it was a spider bite anyway it proceeded to get bigger and hurt bad and I ran a qtip along the nail with peroxide and it ripped open UGH it was ugly!I forced myself to clean it out good and I keep it bandaged it actually seems better today and there you have it another reason I am thankful! It did slow me down but I will bounce back. When my computer was turned back on I had a sale Yeah and When I went to my ArtFire Studio I had received the Certified Handmade Artifact click through and check it out ,While your there hit the Like button okay? You do like me don't ya?LOL Anyway now I am getting ready to spend Thanksgiving with my family. This will be the first one in years where I don't have to go to work.I can't tell you how excited I am just to spend it with my family. So this morning my daughter's and I will go to the grocery store to get the rest of the goodies and we will come home and I will teach them how to bake a couple of pies.Sounds Great doesn't it?I am so Thankful for so many things,I am Thankful I have such great friends!I hope you enjoy your Thanksgiving and you get the chance to stop and smell the rose's.8)

Quick stop on River Road

Canyon Lake

Sounds like fun doesn't it?Well sometimes you have to slow down, this is one of those days for me.I have been working seems like nonstop for a while.Yesterday I looked out the window at work and noticed all the leaves have changed.I broke the rules (no cell phones while working)called my best friend and said baby let's blow the day off tomorrow and go riding. He really didn't need much convincing,as soon as our little ones get on the bus we are going to jump on Joleen and ride through the hill country. My favorite ride this time of year is Lost Maples, the colors of the leaves are breathtaking.I hope that's where he's taking me. I feel a little guilty because I know I have tons of work to do but I think I will get over that guilt in about an hour.Lol After all I passed my rank test and I have been working full time at the restaurant, and full time on my jewelry and well it's obvious I am behind on my house work but,it isn't going anywhere so ,made up my mind we are going!Jesse being the best, best friend ever took the day off and now we are going to make the best of it.I apologize for skipping Talented Tuesday's Artist.I will make up for it with a tutorial soon.I hope you understand.I will try to get some good pictures to share8) I hope you enjoy your Tuesday, and if you see a red head with pigtails flying in the wind on back of that big beautiful black Iron Horse give me a big wave and if you can get a picture of us.LOl 8)  Well the day was great I just came back to update. We ended up cruising River Road In New Braunfels. It was a perfect day for riding along the Gaudalupe River. From there we went to Canyon Lake here's a couple of picks.Gotta Love Texas!8)

Women Over Fourty 8)

This is what Andy Rooney thinks about women over 40: 60 Minutes Correspondent Andy Rooney (CBS) As I grow in age, I value women over 40 most of all. Here are just a few reasons why: A woman over 40 will never wake you in the middle of the night and ask, 'What are you thinking?' She doesn't care what you think. If a woman over 40 doesn't want to watch the game, she doesn't sit around whining about it. She does something she wants to do, and it's usually more interesting. Women over 40 are dignified. They seldom have a screaming match with you at the opera or in the middle of an expensive restaurant. Of course, if you deserve it, they won't hesitate to shoot you if they think they can get away with it. Older women are generous with praise, often undeserved. They know what it's like to be unappreciated. Women get psychic as they age. You never have to confess your sins to a woman over 40. Once you get past a wrinkle or two, a woman over 40 is far sexier than her younger counterpart. Older women are forthright and honest. They'll tell you right off if you are a jerk, if you are acting like one. You don't ever have to wonder where you stand with her. Yes, we praise women over 40 for a multitude of reasons. Unfortunately, it's not reciprocal. For every stunning, smart, well-coiffed, hot woman over 40, there is a bald, paunchy relic in yellow pants making a fool of himself with some 22-year old waitress. Ladies, I apologize. For all those men who say, 'Why buy the cow when you can get the milk for free? here's an update for you. Nowadays 80% of women are against marriage. Why? Because women realize it's not worth buying an entire pig just to get a little sausage! Andy Rooney is a really smart guy!

My Favorite Words Of Wisdom and Inspiration8)

You must live for another if you wish to live for yourself. ~ Seneca
POOR PEOPLE ?

One day, the father of a very wealthy family took his son on a trip to the country with the express purpose of showing him how poor people live. They spent a couple of days and nights on the farm of what would be considered a very poor family.

On their return from their trip, the father asked his son, 'How was the trip?'

'It was great, Dad.'

'Did you see how poor people live?' the father asked.

'Oh yeah,' said the son.

'So, tell me, what did you learn from the trip?' asked the father.

The son answered:

'I saw that we have one dog and they had four.
We have a pool that reaches to the middle of our garden and they have a creek that has no end. We have imported lanterns in our garden and they have the stars at night. Our patio reaches to the front yard and they have the whole horizon. We have a small piece of land to live on and they have fields that go beyond our sight. We have servants who serve us, but they serve others. We buy our food, but they grow theirs. We have walls around our property to protect us, they have friends to protect them.'

The boy's father was speechless.

Then his son added, 'Thanks Dad for showing me how poor we are.'

Isn't perspective a wonderful thing? Makes you wonder what would happen if we all gave thanks for everything we have, instead of worrying about what we don't have.

Appreciate every single thing you have, especially your friends!

Pass this on to friends and acquaintances and help them refresh their perspective and appreciation.

'Life is too short and friends are too few.'

I love this!

I love this!
What make's you smile?

Smile it makes you look younger ! ;)
