I didn't want to speak to soon and jinx the most exciting thing that has happened to me in a very long time. That is why I didn't share this sooner. I enrolled at the University Of Phoenix . Now It's not that I don't feel challenged enough already trying to raise my two teenage daughters. And yes, karate is very challenging also. I have come to a point where I needed to learn more about search engine optimization, e-marketing, marketing in general , writing, and well you get the idea. In order to keep up with the ups and downs of this economy I realized I have to learn a few things. So I did a little research then I decided The University Of Phoenix had a perfect marketing program for me, so I contacted them. If you have been considering furthering your education may I humbly suggest you contact Lew Sykes a student adviser ,he certainly made my decision easy. I gave him a link to my Etsy Shop and he helped guide me to the perfect program for me. May I add it has been a while since I have been in school. He scheduled me for 4 weeks of work shops to prepare me and guess what? I Loved them! Yes ,not only did I learn something from them but I had fun in the process.Now that I have the workshops behind me ,I am confident I am ready to start the first two courses on Monday. I will be earning an Associates degree in business and entrepreneurship first. And hopefully I will then go on to my Bachelors. I am so excited! POOR PEOPLE ?
One day, the father of a very wealthy family took his son on a trip to the country with the express purpose of showing him how poor people live. They spent a couple of days and nights on the farm of what would be considered a very poor family.
On their return from their trip, the father asked his son, 'How was the trip?'
'It was great, Dad.'
'Did you see how poor people live?' the father asked.
'Oh yeah,' said the son.
'So, tell me, what did you learn from the trip?' asked the father.
The son answered:
'I saw that we have one dog and they had four.
We have a pool that reaches to the middle of our garden and they have a creek that has no end. We have imported lanterns in our garden and they have the stars at night. Our patio reaches to the front yard and they have the whole horizon. We have a small piece of land to live on and they have fields that go beyond our sight. We have servants who serve us, but they serve others. We buy our food, but they grow theirs. We have walls around our property to protect us, they have friends to protect them.'
The boy's father was speechless.
Then his son added, 'Thanks Dad for showing me how poor we are.'
Isn't perspective a wonderful thing? Makes you wonder what would happen if we all gave thanks for everything we have, instead of worrying about what we don't have.
