Sounds like fun doesn't it?Well sometimes you have to slow down, this is one of those days for me.I have been working seems like nonstop for a while.Yesterday I looked out the window at work and noticed all the leaves have changed.I broke the rules (no cell phones while working)called my best friend and said baby let's blow the day off tomorrow and go riding. He really didn't need much convincing,as soon as our little ones get on the bus we are going to jump on Joleen and ride through the hill country. My favorite ride this time of year is Lost Maples, the colors of the leaves are breathtaking.I hope that's where he's taking me. I feel a little guilty because I know I have tons of work to do but I think I will get over that guilt in about an hour.Lol After all I passed my rank test and I have been working full time at the restaurant, and full time on my jewelry and well it's obvious I am behind on my house work but,it isn't going anywhere so ,made up my mind we are going!Jesse being the best, best friend ever took the day off and now we are going to make the best of it.I apologize for skipping Talented Tuesday's Artist.I will make up for it with a tutorial soon.I hope you understand.I will try to get some good pictures to share8) I hope you enjoy your Tuesday, and if you see a red head with pigtails flying in the wind on back of that big beautiful black Iron Horse give me a big wave and if you can get a picture of us.LOl 8) Well the day was great I just came back to update. We ended up cruising River Road In New Braunfels. It was a perfect day for riding along the Gaudalupe River. From there we went to Canyon Lake here's a couple of picks.Gotta Love Texas!8)
POOR PEOPLE ?
One day, the father of a very wealthy family took his son on a trip to the country with the express purpose of showing him how poor people live. They spent a couple of days and nights on the farm of what would be considered a very poor family.
On their return from their trip, the father asked his son, 'How was the trip?'
'It was great, Dad.'
'Did you see how poor people live?' the father asked.
'Oh yeah,' said the son.
'So, tell me, what did you learn from the trip?' asked the father.
The son answered:
'I saw that we have one dog and they had four.
We have a pool that reaches to the middle of our garden and they have a creek that has no end. We have imported lanterns in our garden and they have the stars at night. Our patio reaches to the front yard and they have the whole horizon. We have a small piece of land to live on and they have fields that go beyond our sight. We have servants who serve us, but they serve others. We buy our food, but they grow theirs. We have walls around our property to protect us, they have friends to protect them.'
The boy's father was speechless.
Then his son added, 'Thanks Dad for showing me how poor we are.'
Isn't perspective a wonderful thing? Makes you wonder what would happen if we all gave thanks for everything we have, instead of worrying about what we don't have.
Appreciate every single thing you have, especially your friends!
Pass this on to friends and acquaintances and help them refresh their perspective and appreciation.
'Life is too short and friends are too few.'
